Helene is a painter, animator and mixed media installation artist. Her work celebrates the human spirit and life on our planet in all its forms.

Painting is at the base of her practice. She uses acrylic paint and favors expressionist, abstract brush strokes. Stylized yet sensuous human  shapes dominate her canvases. Her paintings seem to be infused with all the energy and vibrancy of the Mediterranean sun and express  motion and vitality.  Her temperament is also reflected in her vibrant color palette.

Helene also creates computer animations mostly inspired by her painted work. Her action-packed animations are the fusion of abstract computer-generated designs, videos, sections of her paintings and frame by frame computer drawings based on rotoscoping techniques. The final films are incorporated into custom-made sculptural modules and presented in multi-media installations.

Helene was born in the south of France where she spent her formative years. She now lives and works in Brooklyn. She studied at the School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League in New York City and received an MFA from Florida State University.

Her work has been exhibited in numerous shows and art fairs in the US and abroad. Recent solo shows and art fairs include 440 Gallery in Brooklyn, Galerie ArtSud in France, Ion Studio in Soho, the Broadfoot and Broadfoot Gallery in New Jersey, the Asia Contemporary Art Fair in Hong Kong and Art for Florence Design Week in Italy.
